A rural locality located along the Indigirka River of the Sakha Republic, Russia holds the title of the “Coldest Village in the World”. This village is inhabited by 500 people and is approximately 750 meters above sea level with temperatures dropping to an extreme -65 Degree Celsius on some occasions. It reports an average of -50 degrees Celsius in the winters and -10 degrees C during the summer months.
