1. Mirny Diamond Mine, Russia
This spot is considered to be the second largest man-made hole on the planet. The idea to dig in this place was laid out by Stalin in a bid to extract diamonds for industrial purposes. However, the place was abandoned much later, since it became difficult to dig any further.
2. Chateau Miranda, Belgium
This castle in Belgium, which has been deserted since 1980, is a favorite spot for ghost hunters. It’s believed that the building, built by the French, was used as an orphanage at the time of World War II.
Gunkanjima, also known as the battleship island, has been abandoned since 1974. The island houses various deserted buildings that have been decomposing day by day, freaky enough to send shivers down your spine.

Hurricane Katrina had severely damaged this amusement park. The result, rusted remains of the various rides, which makes the park look like a scene straight out of a horror movie. Though there were speculations that the place would be revived, no significant actions have seen the light of the day.
