A handful of people are damned with conditions such as these, leaving us with dropped jaws with their symptoms. What these people suffer from is simply unbelievable and unheard of. From having no sensation to not feeling cold ever to getting musical seizures, what these people have will leave you with shock and awe.

1. Stone Man’s Disease
Medically known as fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), Stone Man’s Disease is one of the rarest, most incapacitating genetic conditions. True to its common name, bone tissue begins to grow where muscles, tendons, and other connective tissues should be, effectively restricting movement. Individuals with FOP may even grow a second skeleton that will eventually turn them into living statues.

When the person looks in the mirror, they recognize themselves, but they don’t have the usual emotional response. Their appearance has lost its association with their sense of self, and this cognitive dissonance results in the sense that they do not exist, or have died, hence believing they are dead.

6. Tree Bark Skin Disorder

7. Werewolf Syndrome
Hypertrichosis describes hair growth on the body in an amount which is considered abnormal. This is a very rare condition and described as human werewolves because the sufferer resembles much of werewolf except having sharp claws and teeth

8. The Woman Who Cries Tears of Blood
Doctors in Chile have been left stumped after being presented with a patient who apparently cries tears of blood. Yaritza Oliva, a 20-year-old from the city of Purranque, cries blood red tears several times a day after being afflicted by a mysterious condition earlier this month. After seeking medical assistance, she was prescribed eye drops to ease the burning pain she said was “indescribable.” Her local hospital ruled out both an eye infection and conjunctivitis, believing that she may be suffering from a rare condition known as haemolacria, although it has yet to be officially diagnosed.

9. Cyclopia (One Eyed Baby)
Cyclopia (also cyclocephaly or synophthalmia) is a rare form of holoprosencephaly and is a congenital disorder (birth defect) characterized by the failure of the embryonic prosencephalon to properly divide the orbits of the eye into two cavities.

10. Progeria- Famously known for the movie Benjamin Button, Progeria is progressive aging in kids even as old as 3, although there mental attitude remains like a child. They suffer from aging skin, arthritis, heart defects, not more live more than 12 years.

11. Foreign Accent Syndrome

A rare case in which one speaks a foreign language after a stroke, migraine , etc. One of the most recent cases was that of Sarah Coldwill in the Uk. After suffering from an exteme migraine she woke up Sarah Coldwill in the hospital hours later speaking with what sounded like a Chinese accent although she had never once in her life been to China.

12. Laughing Death or Kuru
Also known as Laughing Death, Kuru is so rare that it was found only amongst the tribal Fore people of New Guinea. The main symptom of the disease is sudden burst of maniacal laughter which ultimately leads to death with a hole in the brain. The disease was a result of cannibalism, a ritualistic practice where tissues of the brain of the deceased were cooked and consumed.

13. Frégoli Syndrome

It leads a person to believe that people he or she knows have adopted a different appearance and assumed the bodies of total strangers. But other than the complete change in appearance (and possibly gender or ethnicity), the personality and identity of the acquaintance is perceived exactly the same as always.

Little Didier Montalvo is a boy from Columbia who was born with a medical disorder known as Congenital Melanocytic Nevus – AKA giant mole disease. In this case, Didier’s mole was so big that it took up his entire back (a back-end view in photographs makes him resemble a ninja turtle just a little) and posed such a health risk that it was either remove the mole or possibly suffer from a multitude of deteriorating health effects.
